The object of the Nuclear Physics Division (NPD) is to assist the advancement and dissemination of knowledge in nuclear physics. Some of the divisional activities are the recognition of outstanding achievements by giving a number of prestigious prizes and awards, organization and approval of conferences, publication of topical papers, and furthering the exchange of scientists and students.
The meeting was partially realized in the NPI, where the scientific mini-workshop took place and the most important instrumental and scientific achievements done in the NPI were presented see the links for presentations:
- Center of Accelerators and Nuclear Analytical Methods infrastructure and other infrastructures established in NPI (vice-director Jan Dobeš)
- Study of hot QCD matter in ultra-relativistic heavy-ion collisions (Filip Křížek)
- Nuclear reactions for astrophysics (Jaromír Mrázek)
- Cyclotrons of NPI – status report and selected beam applications (Jan Štursa)
- Neutron activation analysis (Jan Kučera)
- Neutron diffraction (Jan Šaroun)
- Neutron generators (Jan Novák)
- Novel cyclotron radionuclides and radiopharmaceuticals (Ondřej Lebeda)
- Scientific research in dosimetry in NPI (Marie Davídková)
- Ion beam analysis and material research at Tandetron (Anna Macková)
The NPD members were highly interested in scientific topics provided in NPI and new scientific connections were established based on the fruitful common discussion and excursion into the particular laboratories.
