Jury

The verdict

At its closing session on November 24, 2016, the jury decided to award the main prize to

  • Ing. Jakub Zelezny, Ph.D.
for the thesis Electronic structure and magnetic properties of antiferromagnetic semiconductors and metals regarding it an excellent contribution to the theory of antiferromagnetic materials and their electric control.

The jury also decided to give a honourable mention to the thesis of

  • Mgr. Samuel Kovacik, Ph.D.
entitled Aspects of physics in non-commutative space for its remarkable contribution to applications of the non-commutative space idea in quantum mechanics.
