
70 years of the Nuclear Physics Institute in the journal Jaderná energie

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Nuclear Physics Institute, an article entitled Seventy Years of the Existence of the Nuclear Physics Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences was published in the prestigious professional journal Jaderná energie. The author of the article is Dr Vladimír Wagner, Chairman of the NPI CAS Board.
In the article, Dr Wagner outlines the establishment and historical development of the Nuclear Physics Institute and highlights its long-standing and key role in both Czech and international fundamental and applied research. He recalls the gradual modernization and expansion of accelerator and neutron infrastructure, the Institute’s involvement in major international projects, as well as the wide range of current research activities – from the study of nuclear matter and the development of radiopharmaceuticals to space research and applications in materials science to the protection of cultural heritage.
