
Ondřej Srba appointed new Head of the Department of Radiation Dosimetry at the NPI

As of 23 April 2026, the Department of Radiation Dosimetry at the Nuclear Physics Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences has a new Head of Department – RNDr. Ondřej Srba, Ph.D., an experienced manager and researcher with expertise in applied research and the leadership of scientific and technical teams.
He joins NPI after more than thirteen years at the Research Centre Řež (CVŘ), where he held several managerial positions over the course of his career. Most recently, he served as Director of the Scientific Research Division, leading approximately 80 employees and contributing to the strategic development of research activities, management of large-scale projects, cooperation with public administration and industrial partners, and implementation of public procurement and European projects.
Prior to that, he headed the Department of Material and Mechanical Properties and also led a research group involved, among other activities, in the construction of new hot cells within the European SUSEN project.
Ondřej Srba studied solid-state physics at Charles University, where he also earned his Ph.D. His academic background is complemented by extensive experience in project management and team leadership.
