Accessibility statement

The mission of the web portal of NPI of the CAS, public research institution, is to bring important information from NPI events to all users. The NPI web portal therefore complies with the Czech web accessibility guidelines , published in accordance with the amendment to Act No. 365/2000 Coll. on information systems of government bodies.

The NPI web portal follows the guidelines of the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic to the Decree No. 64/2008 Coll., the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) standards, and the Blind Friendly Web guidelines (project of the Czech Blind United society).

The content of the web portal is encoded using the XHTML 1.0 Transitional syntax, the graphic form is created using the W3C cascading styles (CSS), the portal adheres to syntactic and semantic accuracy. Text sizes are defined so that they can be simply zoomed in and out using standard web browsers (for example, when you press CTRL + move the mouse wheel).

An integral part of the NPI web presentation is the CSS style for the print version. All pages are printable without any limitations by standard web browser tools (default is the printer icon in the browser navigation bar, Ctrl + P shortcut or File – Print from toolbar).

Site layout and control is designed to make pages available to both alternative browsers and people with special needs (in the form of alternative content).

Information in other formats

In the NPI web portal, data may be presented in non-text or hypertext formats. The links that refer to these files are marked in the text either by alerting the link's destination or the appropriate icon to indicate the content of that link.

Document formats in this portal:

PDF - Adobe Acrobat Reader is free to download for this format.
DOC, XLS, PPT - documents can be viewed with Open Office programs (free of charge), or Microsoft viewers, free of charge to download from Microsoft.
RTF - You can open or edit with most text editors.
ZIP - compressed files due to size. A large number of programs are available to unpack them.
