Science Fair: from Thursday to Saturday, free of charge, and with NPI´s stand
07. 06. 2023
From Thursday 8 to Saturday 10 June 2023, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the next edition of the Veletrh vědy (Science Fair), the largest Czech science popularization event, will take place at the PVA EXPO exhibition center in Prague's quarter Letňany. Entry is free and, traditionally, there will also be a NPI´s stand.
Among the record-breaking number of – more than one hundred – exhibitions of the Czech Academy of Sciences institutes, universities and innovative companies, you will once again find the NPI stand. Stand, where (among other things) our radiocarbon laboratory CRL will let visitors guess which samples can be dated and which cannot, and will present them with a tent with fake ivory. After last year's success, a car with equipment for measuring storms, used in the CRREAT project by the staff of the Department of Radiation Dosimetry, will again be exhibited in a separate location outside stand.
The Science Fair will also include a rich accompanying program, including lectures, a laser maze or a chemical escape game. The event is also suitable for families with smaller children. More detailed information in Czech can be found at https://www.veletrhvedy.cz.
