The GANIL-SPIRAL 2 Week, a bi annually organized conference, was held in Caen, Normandy, France, from 21 to 24 November 2016.
The Centre de Congrès hosted an international community of researchers and engineers reflecting on the progress of the SPIRAL2 research infrastructure implementation, including the Scientific and technological developments related to the facility construction.
On Monday 21 November, within the conference programme, Jaromír Mrázek (NPI) gave his presentation on Activation by charged particles and neutrons in the context of GANIL/SPIRAL2. Conference presentations can be found at : http://pro.ganil-spiral2.eu/events/weeks/ganil-spiral2-week-2016
At the outskirts of the conference, a meeting of the LEA NuAG – Laboratoire Européen Associé “Nuclear astrophysics and grids „took place. This endeavour is the international endeavour by which the Czech scientists take part in GANIL-SPIRAL2 activities. The Deputy Director of GANIL, Mr. Marek Lewitovicz informed on a new project funded by the European Commission (Horizon 2020) – IDEAAL under which a deeper and more official cooperation with GANIL-SPIRAL2 partners is to be established.
