CANAM quality assured by taking into account Scientific Advisory Committee recommendations
02. 05. 2018

The meeting of the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) of the CANAM (Centre of Accelerators and Nuclear Analytical Methods) project was held at Vila Lanna on 9 - 10 February 2017.
The project CANAM is the flagship large research infrastructure of the Nuclear Physics Institute of the CAS. In order to maintain its scientific, technological and managerial quality, the SAC composed of internationally renowned scientists gives on a regular basis advice on all aspects of this large research infrastructure.
This time, the SAC examined not only the progress of the project but also the requirements of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MEYS) that need to be met by the advisory boards of the projects under the frame of the MEYS 2017 large research infrastructures interim evaluation.
“The added value of the CANAM project is that it provides an opportunity to run experiments using different complementary facilities in one place, which is unique in Europe,” says Peter Bode the CANAM SAC Chairman.
