NPI Participated in the Science Fair and VědaFest
25. 06. 2026

The Nuclear Physics Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences once again took part in two traditional science outreach events – the Science Fair and VědaFest, both of which bring science closer to the general public every year.
At the Science Fair, visitors had the opportunity to explore how vacuum is created, visit the Department of Radiation Dosimetry exhibition within the Czech Journey to Space project, and compare the weight of a tungsten-shielded syringe used for administering radiopharmaceuticals with that of a standard syringe.
At VědaFest, the Institute demonstrated the principles behind radiopharmaceuticals and presented a simplified model of a particle accelerator. Both events gave visitors the opportunity to learn more about selected areas of NPI research and explore the world of nuclear physics through interactive demonstrations.
We would like to thank all colleagues who contributed to the preparation and successful delivery of both events. Thanks to their enthusiasm and dedication, we were able to introduce the public to the world of nuclear physics through hands-on demonstrations and experiments.
