HTCondor is a software system that is used in the processing of data from particle collisions in the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) accelerator at CERN.
A member of the organizing committee of the international workshop was Dr. Dagmar Adamová from the Department of Heavy Ion Physics at NPI. Dr. Adamová also delivered a presentation focusing on computing resources for the ALICE experiment in the Czech Republic.
HTCondor is a software system for the effective use of the computing power of computers connected by networks - from computing clusters to cloud resources. It is also used in the international LHC computing grid, which enables the processing of extremely large volumes of data produced at the LHC at CERN. For NPI researchers participating in the international ALICE experiment, this tool is therefore essential.
The workshop was further co-organized by the Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences and the company M Computers.
