
Third scientific advisory commitee meeting

The 3rd SAC (Scientific advisory committee) meeting of the CRREAT project was held in the CSVTS building at Novotného lávka near Charles Bridge in center of Prague on October 25th, 2018. About 40 participants were welcomed by Petr Lukáš, director of NPI, and Guenther Reitz, director of CRREAT.
First, the progress report was presented by Guenther Reitz and Ondrej Ploc. After that, six presentations about the selected scientific results followed: two per each institution participated in the project (NPI, IAP, and CTU). Introduced were also five Ph.D. students (Martin Kákona, Jakub Kákona, Dagmar Peksová, Marek Sommer, and Jakub Šlegl) and their work on topics of the project. The audience was invited to participate to the planned CRREAT experiment campaigns including the measurements at aircraft altitudes, ground base and calibration fields with stationery at Milešovka and mobile measurement units (balloon flights, business jets, cars, and UAV helicopter).
SAC members only (Eric Benton, Jean-François Bottolier Depois, Ashot Chilingarian, Stéphane Gaffet, Olga Ivanova, Jan Kolář, Jean-Louis Pinçon, Vyacheslav Shurshakov, Ondřej Štursa, François Trompier) then separately discussed the presented project progress followed by a presentation of their results to all CRREAT members. It was stated that they have seen a substantial improvement. Positively was rated the better coordination of the scientific work and progress in the area of procurements. Many helpful recommendations were given, e.g. the data management plan.
