The results of the NPI 2019 Prize announced

On Tuesday, December 3, a short conference with author presentations of seven works and collections of works by our researchers, entered this year's NPI Prize competition, took place in NPI meeting room.
As all the works and their presentations were of high quality, the competition committee (composed of: Jiří Adam, Jana Bielčiková, Jan Dobeš, Jiří Mizera, Ondřej Ploc and Ivo Tomandl) chose among them only after a difficult decision. Finally, two first and two third prizes were awarded.
The first prize went to:
Jan Borovička and co-authors for a collection of three works focused on the accumulation of metals in fungi.
Dalibor Skoupil and Petr Bydžovský for two works focused on the theoretical description of electro- and photoproduction of meson K + and hyperon lambda.
The third prize went to:
Jaroslava Hrtánková, Albert Feijoo, Martin Schafer and their co-authors for a collection of four works in the field of theoretical description of meson-baryon interaction and hypernuclear physics.
Filip Křížek, Světlana Kušpilová and their co-authors for a set of four works devoted to radiation tests of silicon path detector components for the ALICE experiment in the CERN laboratory.
The NPI management and the NPI Prize Committee would like to thank all participants and congratulate the winners, and wish everyone enough quality publications in the coming years.
